Rosen Karadimov
Chairperson of the CPC
Mr. Rosen Karadimov – Chairman of the CPC, lawyer, Associate professor, PhD in law, lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" since 1991. Mr. Karadimov has been a lecturer in Civil Law - General Part, Law on Obligations and Contracts, Legal Regime of Intellectual Property, with Trademarks, Patent and Intellectual Property Rights legal regime as main academic interest. Mr. Karadimov was also a member of the 7th Grand National Assembly and participated in the adoption of the 1991 Constitution and the first Law on Protection of Competition (LPC) of 1991. The Commission on Protection of Competition was established as independent state body with the adoption of the LPC of 1991.
Radomir Cholakov
Deputy Chairman of the CPC
Mr. Radomir Cholakov – Deputy Chairman of the CPC, lawyer, holding degree in law from Universität Wien. Mr. Cholakov has extensive experience in media (newspapers and electronic media) and media law. He was a member of the National Assembly for five consecutive parliamentary mandates, member and chairman of the parliaments’ Legal Commission and Commission on Constitutional Matters.
Valeria Gerova
Member of the CPC
Ms. Valeria Gerova – Member of the CPC, lawyer, has long experience in the Ministry of Environment and Waters as director of the Legal Directorate and General Secretary of the ministry. Ms. Gerova has served for four years as General Secretary of Road Executive Agency and for three years as General Secretary of the Environment Executive Agency. Ms. Gerova’s professional experience is in the areas of administrative law and public procurement procedures.
Dimitar Danailov
Member of the CPC
Mr. Dimitar Danailov – Member of the CPC, lawyer, has private legal practice, with a particular focus on company restructuring, acquisitions and mergers.
Emilia Koleva
Member of the CPC
Ms. Emilia Koleva – Member of the CPC, lawyer, has been working in the last nine years as legal advisor in the CPC on most of the Commission’s cases and draft decisions.
Zhelyo Boychev
Member of the CPC
Mr. Zhelyo Boychev – Member of the CPC, economist, member of the National Assembly for three consecutive terms. Member of the parliament’s Economic Commission and the permanent Sub-commission on control of the activities aimed at consumer protection and restriction of monopolies, member of the Energy Commission. Mr. Boychev has been developing his own private practice of economic consultancy, including economic analyses of mergers.
Miroslava Hristova
Member of the CPC
Ms. Miroslava Hristova-Member of the CPC, lawyer, has experience of more than thirteen years at different positions in the Public Financial Inspection Agency (PFIA). In the last ten years Ms. Hristova was Director of the Legal Directorate of the Ministry of Energy.
